It feels great at times when you talk to the philosopher residing inside you and try to explore some fundamental questions of life.

What actually decides the flow of life?

“Thoughts”, my experience through various situations shouted loudly!

Every day is wrapped with unexplored 24 hours. Each hour a poet in itself, eager to recite its own narration. Whatever happens with us in these hours tend to judge whether we qualify to be happy or not.

So, is our happiness not in our hands? Is it the situation that controls it?

“No it’s not the situation. It’s me,” thoughts smirked.

Everything that happens is followed by a set of opinions. Which we term as thoughts. This flow of thoughts decides whether it will act as a flood to uproot us or as a breeze to calm us. What generally happens is that when we come across a situation that we never thought would occur Or when we face failure, we become sad, we get deprived and distressed, and we start losing hope. Now the working of our mind plays a protagonist. Our mind is the best slave that god has ever invented. In a situation when our head is full of opinion that disturbs us, the mind takes no time in adding spice to it. Because the only thing that our mind knows is to serve our head with things that are trending no matter it being right or not.

So, Is there any way out?  How can we help ourselves?

“Believe in yourself,” heart whispered.

Understand the functioning of our mind. Think of our mind as an amplifier. A slave who is an expert of amplifying the kind of opinions (termed as thoughts) we possess to a much higher level. To beat this machine, use this machine. Become an expert at sculpting the kind of input you feed into your mind, this machine being the best slave would abide by its way of functioning and would amplify the kind of opinions you served it with. Believing in yourself provides you with those sculpting skills. No matter how bad the situation might be, just have faith in yourself and be firm with your sculpting skills.

What if we actually are wrong at some point?

“Be Honest to yourself”, the soul recited.

Mistakes are an inevitable part of our life. The question that matters is not whether, we were right or wrong? The question that does holds some importance is whether, we admit our mistakes or we try running away from them? What makes one ahead is someone behind it. In a similar manner what makes something right is the existence of something wrong. There is no shame in committing mistakes, the fault lies in not accepting them. Mistakes are an unexplored set of lessons that helps us make the difference. Once we start being loyal to ourselves, once we start believing in ourselves, once we start having a right perception ( not importantly a positive perception but a right perception), once we start following our heart, We would be the most happiest person of this world.

What else can make life better?

“Love Yourself,” heart said with a smile.

Love the way you are. Never ever dilute your worth by running a comparison with others. Each one of us living on this earth is different. Learn to cherish this uniqueness of yours. Be happy with what you have. Everything that is present around you has some great lessons yet to explore, explore them. Be a good learner, seek lessons from every situation and aspect of life. Build a better perception of seeing at things. Seek element of happiness from everything that surrounds you.

Recipe of a better life: Know your thoughts and garnish yourself with happiness, honesty, love and firm belief.

What are your principles of life? How would you define life in a line?
