Hello, Hockey Fans!!

As I’m writing this I’m currently watching the NHL Winter Classic Game between the Blues and Blackhawks. I love me some hockey and have been to various arenas around the country, my life goal is to visit each arena! So I’ll keep this short and simple, I’m gonna create a short guide for the couple arenas I’ve been to and what to do near there!

Staples Center/Los Angeles Kings

This is my home. I’ve been a Kings fan since I was born so I know the ins and outs of this place. There are a bunch of restaurants near Staples, from fancy steak to your greasy finger foods. They always seem to be super crowded so try making reservations or get there early so you don’t miss the game. If you go during Christmas time they have skating right across the street with a huge tree, and that’s always a good time, busy but well worth it.

Honda Center/ Anaheim Ducks

I always head to Honda Center for Kings road games because it’s so close!! I’m not a Ducks fan but there is so much to do around the area, it’s really fun. Down the street, there are a bunch of good name restaurants, Tilted Kilt, Lazy Dog, Hooters, and not to mention DISNEYLAND is like less than five minutes away, so you can always head to downtown Disney for a pregame meal!

SAP Center/ San Jose Sharks

My family and I road tripped up here last January as a Christmas present for my dad and it did not disappoint. As for restaurants near SAP we didn’t explore enough. But we did eat a lot at their practice center! The dining hall had a cabin feel to it, so we ate a bunch of appetizers while we watched some college hockey down below. Inside SAP was so cool, though!! Everything is silver and black including the high ceilings and walls! We did hit the Winchester Mystery House which was mind blowing! That place is a must see!! But overall I was very pleased with this place, hope to make it back soon and explore more!!

Gila River Arena/ Arizona Coyotes

This arena was a little out of the way, kind of isolated from the main town, but once you get to the arena it’s beautiful!! It has the title of the arena in big red letters and a tv below it. Across on the other side, you have a multi-level place to eat, still with a view of the outside arena! There are tons of Christmas lights hanging, it’s a fun area to be in!

United Center/ Chicago Blackhawks

United Center speaks for itself. I recently moved to Chicago so they hold a special place in my heart as well. The outpouring of Blackhawks fans all in red is mesmerizing. While in Chicago, please go walk Michigan Ave. You have the riverwalk to see, the bean, Millennium Park, you can even head up to Lincoln Park, the Zoo is free entry and it’s a huge outdoor park with an amazing view of the city!! And please go eat at Gino’s East Pizza or Giordano’s!! But there isn’t anything more satisfying than hearing Chelsea Dagger after the Blackhawks score. It’s a fun city and fun crowd, can’t go wrong here.

That’s about it for my personal experiences! Hope this helps for my fellow hockey fans! Let me know In the comments who your favorite team is, or which arena is your favorite!!
