Monday? More like Mondaze. Most of these days I wake up feeling sluggish, and I’m ready to go back to bed. However, Mondays are like the breakfast of the week. If you start out without it, the rest of your day could be out of whack (Secret: I don’t usually eat breakfast… But you catch my drift.) I’ve learned the key to conquering Mondays is to be motivated. Find something to get you through the day, and be happy about it. It’s easier said than done, but I found that trying and putting forth the effort is better than not trying at all.
1. Prepare your stuff for work, school, or whatever you do on Mondays, the night before. Trust me, you’ll thank me later. I also found that showering the night before help, but people can get finicky about that. I prepare everything I need for the next day, and prepare lunch, or make a reminder on my phone of what to make the next morning if it’s one of those sensitive foods (soggy sandwiches are a no go). It saves me time in the morning, and I get to sleep in a little.
2. Find your Boss Babe Fuel! or whatever you choose to call it. Coffee, water, energy drinks, smoothies, milk, or whatever it may be, find your fuel, and stick to it! Long weekend? Drink your Boss Fuel, and make sure to stay hydrated with water in between. Make whatever you fancy extra delicious, so you have something to look forward to.

3. Have a plan for the day. Whether it be a planner, your phone, your computer, or just plain paper, have a plan. Since I graduated, my Monday routine consists of work and planning out my week. use bullet journals, as well as the Chrome extension, Momentum to keep me motivated every time I open up the Internet.

4. Breathe. I’m no magical unicorn who is happy all the time. I get it. Work can be stressful, class can be stressful, life can be stressful, and so can a combination of all three. But it shouldn’t bring you down. Remember, it could always be worse. Take a break every so often, look at your lists, and just breathe. (Even if it’s hiding in the bathroom, so you can be alone for while.)
Remember, we are all surviving Mondays together, just like you are. So find some motivation, peace, and breathe. Enjoy your Mondays, and your attitude for the rest of the week might change too.
So good luck out there, remember, just a few more days until Friday Friyay!
