Something I’ve noticed a lot in the people around me is that they always want more. No one can just be happy with what they have, and I get it, it’s good to always move forward. But is it good to always forget the blessings we’ve been surrounded with?

We may have different houses, and some people may have larger ones than others but at least we have shelter. We may not have a Mercedes but at least we don’t have to walk miles no matter the weather. We may not have the most expensive branded clothes but at least they are clean and in one piece.

If we look around us there is so much that we do not care to notice. We my think that school Sucks but there are people out there who don’t even know what education is. There are also people out there who have the simplest dreams as to learn to read and write. We spend so much time and effort being annoyed and angry that we forget to laugh and enjoy. For example if you order food at an expensive restaurant all that’s in your head is how much you’ve paid for the food and how good it should be. And if the food does not reach the standards of what you “thought it would be like”, you will probably yell at the waiter, the chef and even the manager. But what you forget is that you just ruined not only the staffs night but yours to. You could have enjoyed what you got and been grateful that you were sitting in a place, with the resources others dream of.

You may not always get what you want, or what you like. But at least you get something, even if it’s not good enough for you, always remember that there are thousands of people who get nothing. Even after spending their lives working they get nothing, all they see in life is hunger, thirst and homelessness. Always be grateful for what you have and always give back. Never waste time being angry when you can be happy.
