Most of us miss out in life because we are busy waiting for the perfect moment.

How do I know?

Well, I guess you could say I am one of those individuals  who wasted so much waiting for the right moment and lost out on being IN the moment.

Examples, I wanted the perfect body before I went out, the perfect hair, the perfect clothes ….all materialistic things and the list goes on and on.

I found out I was too busy waiting for the perfect moment, that I was missing out on the perfectly imperfect moments that make life, well life. The moments that create bonds that last forever ,they are the  little snippets that make life memorable and have a higher probability in learning experiences that would define you in the future.

It’s quite sad that when people are at concerts they are so busy recording video instead of enjoying themselves in the moment.

The only thing you will remember is how cramped your arm was while you were busy filming Adele and not how she sang and made you feel.

As people we need to realize that sometimes the imperfect will make you happier than the perfect. Instead of waiting for that Bugatti, why not make memories in your beat up Corolla with your friends than put your life on pause for something you do not know when it is going to happen.

It’s not always what you want but what you need which will be good for you. So STOP missing out on life and start LIVING, LOVING and ENJOYING it. As Leo Tolstoy said “If you look for perfection, you’ll never be content.”

So what are you waiting for? Start living life and living it to the fullest irrespective of what your circumstance is.

  1. Good post. Many people have put their lives on hold for so long, that they don’t know how to take their take charge and live their lives the way they should. It’s good to just relax and enjoy where one is, and never letting go on dreams. Thank you for sharing.

  2. This made me realize that it is important to live life and not just capture it. I do realize that living and enjoying the moment is important but I don’t really follow it.

  3. I agree. We are always waiting for the “perfect time” and he truth is, there is never a perfect time. You just have to enjoy every moment and go after your dreams and goals, but enjoying life at the same time. It is too short to sit waiting for the perfect time, because it will never come.
