EVIL IS EVERYWHERE. It’s right around every corner of the world. Wait a minute! (Just remembered that Earth has no crooks because it’s spherical), but yeah, evil ranging from its tiniest to prevalent form is all over. Not giving your little brother his fair share of the chocolate bar; using your nerd, spineless, pale skinned but good friend for your own advantage are illustrations of evil in its small forms. On the other hand, rape and taking the lives of fellow humans are evil in the most cruel forms.

Evil is really terrifying. To make things worse, humans aren’t able to compete with it. They won’t be able to prevent themselves from giving into this ‘E’ word from time to time. They have this inherited curse of making them unstoppable to sin. It’s just how their lives work, but low and behold… they have hope. Every person may not be perfect, but they’re more than that. Their existence in this realm may be full of ‘falling to pits of darkness’, but their ‘being’ says more. Every human has goodness within him. To be frank, ‘good’ is really their central character, only to be destroyed by a horrid serpent in the Garden of Eden. This schemer’s the one who brought the horrible spell upon all.

All of us have an amazing reserved strength to withstand this ‘E’ word. We may not be able to completely defeat it, however, we can try. It is the best thing we can do, until the coming back of Jesus Christ to diminish Satan and his forces will finally happen. While waiting, resist! Resist all kinds of wickedness. Now this brings you to the question- where do I start?

Very easy! Begin with yourself. How? In everything that you do, you have to ask yourself, “Where am I coming from?” For instance, you’re about to build this new business. Let’s say you’re already the wealthiest man in your community, up to varieties of commerce. Now, you desire to enter another one. Go ask yourself where you’re coming from in wanting that. Is it because you just want to live life to the fullest, making use of all your resources, or just do things as long as you can and as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone? Or are you considering it because you have your so called ‘mortal enemy’ living in another neighborhood, who’s just as successful and as rich as you are that you can’t bear to not exceed his record? Let’s say you finally decided to have a strict workout routine and schedule. Go examine if you’ll do it to be fit and healthy, or you’ll do it because you’re ‘very obsessed’ with wanting to have the ‘perfect body’ projected by the society? It’s totally alright to go with what the culture says ‘in’, but being so possessed with the yearning to live up to it, to the point that you build your  self-respect on that is just so wrong!

In everything that you do, take a look if you’re coming from what’s ‘right’, otherwise something  good or positive. If not, step back, follow your footsteps from where they began then start all over again with a ‘clearer and cleaner mindset’. Just don’t go into things that will just darken your heart even in the slightest way, into things that are unhealthy for you, that in the end you are the one to suffer the consequences. On the end of the day, it’s up to you. The choice is yours. Warning though! Making sure you’re always on the good side is not a stress-free endeavor. ‘Human limitations’ may come along the way, but remember to try! Life isn’t always about winning. Sometimes, it’s just about trying the very best that you can.
