In order to cook after a recipe we need to read it, to know what ingredients we need and how to make it, to know what tools we need. That moment when we get so many information, new information, we get scared that is too complicated and we can’t make it.

If you can make eggs or fries, you can cook! You know how to use the stove, how to fry and not burn! All you have to do is start with something simple and take it step by step. Prepare everything from the beginning: the tools and the ingredients weighted.

Don’t put pressure on yourself! What is the worst that can happen? It isn’t working and you have to eat something else or order. A good tip is to try something new when you have another choice for eating in the fridge or at an hour when you can order food or go out and eat!

Don’t expect your food to look like in magazines and blogs! You can be a MasterChef in the kitchen and not know yet! But also can be delicious without looking amazing! Keep in mind those photos are edited, have filters, special lights and so on.  Go for taste first, not look!

You can always adapt the recipe to your taste! You do not like a herb, change it with what you like. You do not like one vegetable, take it out or change it. You can use the recipe for inspiration and adapted to it after your own taste and desires!

Look for something easy and try! Do not overthink! You will get better and better!

  1. It’s just about practice and yes, excitement to cook plays an important role as well. There was time when I didn’t know how to cut an Apple! And now, I can cook well enough to have a decent meal every time 🙂 Improving everyday by practice….
