There comes a time in your life where you are extremely driven, you know exactly what you want and what you have to do in order to get to that goal. Dreams and goals go together perfectly; you will have something that you always dreamed of, and a goal which you want to reach. Both are attainable, if you want it bad enough. Success comes with much more than just hard work and dedication; it takes an utter desire to succeed in which you want that more than anything else.
With everything you want in life there comes a cost, with that cost you have to be willing to sacrifice something in order to obtain your success. Not all of these will be huge things, but there are a few key things in which you have to do in order to have a step in the right direction of success. With these things you will be able to make the right choices and look within yourself in order to determine how you will be successful and when you will find success.
Who you are Determines Your Success
You have to look yourself in the mirror and know that you can do it. Your drive for success will be stronger than anything else, and you will know that no matter what you consider success to be. An inner drive, it is something you have to find. No one else can teach you how to be successful, only how to open your eyes and see what it truly takes to become that person that you yearn to be. Big or small, success doesn’t have to be measured in numbers, but it is also measured in your happiness and way of life. You determine where you want to go in life.
How everything can be considered measured, you as an individual physically cannot be. You are unique in your own way, and with your abilities you can go as far as you let yourself. On the other hand, it takes a lot of effort to actually look inside yourself and see what you are made of. Everything you set for yourself are predetermined limits, and as long as you are limiting yourself, you will find a hard time moving in the correct direction for the success you are seeking. It all comes down to looking in the mirror and deciding who you are, and where you want to be.
Fear of Failure holds you Back
Fear is what drives people to stop pursuing what they want in life. If it is a dream career, or business venture, or profession, fear is by far the number one thing to make you back out of it. Change is amazing for you, and in order to get that success, you have to change. Fear is self-imposed, meaning it does not exist, you can create it, and you can destroy it. You have to get out of your comfort zone and be uncomfortable, if there is no fear involved then you aren’t doing something right. The big things in life are scary, but again you create that fear, and you can destroy it.
Failure is something we cannot live without. There will always be something in our lives which we fail, or we try our absolute hardest and come up short. Regardless, it is something you cannot avoid, even the greatest entrepreneur’s in history have had their fair share of failure. If you look at someone like Steve Jobs, or Bill Gates, and even Michael Jordan, they all have failed over and over until they finally got it right. A fallout on a project or vision or dream should not hinder you, but only give you the motivation and drive to do it again and do it better. That is where you will find the edge over the competition, trial and error. Some things just don’t work the first time, but in time, they will be your main weapon.
You might have heard the saying “Failure is not an option” well if you are thinking that way you are already setting yourself up for failure. Failure might not be an option; however, it is inevitable. Letting your fear of failure run your life will hinder your progress towards where you want to be. Maintain your vision, and realize failure happens and from failure you find success.
Live and Breathe Success
You have to want to succeed more than you want to do anything else, including breathe. When you are down, you have to get back up every time and keep moving forward. No matter how many times you get hit, you have to get back up and move forward. Success is not something that is euphoric; you have to put in blood, sweat, and tears in order to attain it. Nothing about success is pretty; you have to push harder than you ever have. You have a dream you want to accomplish, the only way to accomplish it, is by putting in the hard work that no one else will do.
When you wake up in the morning, you are setting yourself up for success. The competition does not take breaks, they don’t take the day off, you have to be on your game 100% of the time. If you want to succeed more than you want to breathe, then you will be successful. Where everyone is different, everyone has one thing in common, a dream. You have to make the decision today to move toward your dream for tomorrow. Today is the best day to do something with your life. It is never too late to move forward and dream and find your success. One very amazing example is Morgan Freeman, whom everyone has seen somewhere, whether it is on the movie screen or hosting and narrating a television show. Freeman did not receive his first major role until he was age 50. It is never too late to pursue your dreams, and success comes in many different shapes and sizes.
In the end, you have to drive yourself to success.
Move passed your limits, and create new ones. Then you will be successful.
