How many times has someone asked you a question that you didn’t know the answer to, and you replied, “Let’s Google that!”
Well, I say that all the time. I am always Googling this, or Googling that. I love Google and I could research till the cows come home! I am a born researcher.
Before Google existed I remember pulling out the heavy encyclopedia and most times finding the answer, but not always!! You know it’s pretty sad, but when I stopped using my encyclopedia collection, I thought I would do a good thing and donate them to the local library. Wrong! Even the library didn’t have a place for them.
But yes, the internet has taken over and I am the first to admit you’ve got to love the internet! It is an amazing tool, and with all the research I have been doing lately, I honestly admit that I am thankful for it. There are no unanswered questions when you ‘surf’ the web.
Another great thing about the internet, which helps us build confidence as well as community, are the Facebook groups. I have discovered some awesome groups ! You join one of them babies, and not only will all your questions be answered, but you will connect with people who have the same goals and dreams. In the process, you make new friends from every corner of the world and profit from their experiences. There is a wealth of knowledge in these groups, and it just makes you realize how powerful the internet is.
So in my journey to becoming a sought after virtual assistant, I am using the tools that are at my fingertips, and realizing that you are never too old to learn something new, and that most of all you learn something new, everyday!

I love Google too. And I use it daily… several times a day. And to be honest, Google has made me smarter. I am sure many people can relate to that too.

I love Google and I love learning. However i feel like there is just as much misinformation as there is information. It is up to the researcher to double check the sources and make sure what information they are reading is accurate.

You should definitely never stop learning. It keeps your brain thinking and it keeps it healthy. You don’t want to be one of those old people that has memory loss issues.
