We struggle so much in our daily lives. We aim to be great spouses, husbands, wives and children. However, what happens to your spirit, when your mistakes overshadow who you are as a person, in someone else’s eyes? So, I made a mistake! I spoke out of term and my words were received horribly. As a result, I was called heartless. Big deal right? Not if that person is a husband or wife.

No drama can exist if you stop it and keep moving. How?

  1. Acknowledge the issue
  2. Rectify the situation
  3. Asks for resolutions
  4. Give choices for ending drama or agreeing to disagree
  5. Forgive
  6. Move on

Remember! Practice makes perfect!

In my field, kids have meltdowns frequently. What happens to kids during this stressful time? They lose complete control over their emotions for whatever reason they are faced with. The main thing to understand is kids are learning. They have not mastered the art of social skills. The art of controlling their emotions isn’t fully developed at this time.

I asked, what happens when mistakes aren’t forgiven? They can be with time. Our time has come. So, with time and tears I was told, that I was forgiven. How do men and women in spouseville forgive each other? With actions! What kind of actions? Use your imagination, lol šŸ˜¹šŸ˜¹šŸ˜¹šŸ˜˜šŸ˜˜šŸ‘„šŸ˜ššŸ˜»šŸ‘ˆšŸ½šŸŒšŸŒ

You volunteer your time and energy to an organization. You are younger than all of your fellow volunteers. You are really called the, “baby,” of the group but, something is off. You have this suspicious feeling that your age is preventing the seasoned volunteers from seeing you for what your resume and experience says you are: deserving.
Thursday night, all of these feelings came to a heated discussion in the Executive Council meeting for my alumni association. My Alumni president decided, not to attend the national convention in Chicago, two weeks ago. We were going to be left with no representation from our local chapter. I messaged our alumni president and vice chancellor, asking for support for me to attend instead. No sooner did I send the message, than my alumni president calls and cancels her mind of not attending. Not only will she attend, but wants the chapter to cover her travel expenses. She wanted me to step down from going.

Picture! We shared so much together. Then, I became sick and could no longer hang out. I tell you about my condition and it’s side effects. You listen intently and ask me if I need anything? Yes! I need you to stop smoking around me.

Your burning the candles at both ends, running behind a toddler, demanding spouse and negative bosses. One day it all comes crashing down on you. Your health is suffering, your hair is suffering and you have gained 20 pounds. You look in the mirror and do not recognize the once, sexy, cute, mover and shaker. What do you do? Resign, and start all over.

I was at a career crossroads. I have now come out on the other side of things. You are aware of my career failure and how I turned in into my breakthrough. I am happier than I have been in years. I have only missed one day of work (I was suffering with acid reflux). Otherwise, I am at work, early, teaching and making a difference in the lives of my students.

“Life is like a river that’s constantly moving. It’s what we do with the River when it’s moving that counts.”

What does that even mean? Your life is a River. Whether we make a difference in our lives or not, our lives are not stopping and waiting for our choices. It keeps moving. They key to a moving river is making sure you have resources to ride the waves. If you do not have the resources, how do you get them? Ask for them. You can work to earn them.

We left off with me having an interview for another teaching position. The interview was at the school board. I did well! As such, I was told on the spot that I was, “in.” Yesterday, I received another call to interview at a school. I went to bed early and woke up this morning and went to my interview. As a veteran educator, I was surprised that I was asked to complete a writing sample! No problem, I thought. I took out my good Lamy fountain pen and went to work. šŸ˜˜
