While there are many motivational quotes to choose from, some stand out more so than others. Perhaps, because they are simple and to the point. Personally, I like to think I can take away a useful message from motivation quotes, poems, and articles, however, I’m not willing to spend my time on stuff I already know.

But, with that said, I still am drawn to anything in writing that relates to motivation. I assume this is because, even though the subject is a popular one for writers, it is an upbeat topic that is usually motivating. Or at least, I hope so since I scan a lot of articles, etc. Yes, I admit to it.

Another admission of mine is I am almost addicted to social media. I say almost because I’m not a Facebook follower nor am I enthralled with reading about anyone’s life online. Now hear me out because I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that, it’s just not my cup of tea.

So exactly what does motivate me? Well, I like to set mini goals and/or take a step by step approach to everything I do. Sure, some of my endeavors require only one step, but others may need more thought. This is where my step by step attitude kicks in. My motivation stems from completing one goal and being able to make a smooth transition to the next.

So, with all of this chit chat about thoughts, goals and motivation, the most important step is that we do this for ourselves. We may take steps and set goals to help others or to complete a job for others, but not for the sake of others. In my humble opinion, this is essential for a realistic approach to motivation.

Color your day for your, yourself and you not for the sake of someone else.

Cheers!

10 Ways to Get More Followers (3 min read)

Getting followers to subscribe or follow your blog can sometimes be a little challenging. But by doing just the smallest things can make the biggest impact. Here’s 10 of them:

1. Return favors. Follow people that comment or favorite your posts, especially when they take the time to read articles you’ve written and share a comment with you. It’s one of the keys I use to determine whether someone is a real follower or just trying to get more by using others.

How to Get More Comments on Your Blog (2 min read)

1. Take a stand.

Boring content will always get you zero comments. You should take a stand on your blog. Don’t be afraid to put out content that might shake things up in your industry a bit. Don’t be boring like vanilla. Draw a line in the sand: “Here’s where I stand. This is what I believe.” Then ask readers: “Do you agree?”

Life is too short, and way too unpredictable to allow people to tear you down. Often times the people who try to suffocate us are doing so because our existence reminds them of how unhappy, and unfulfilled their lives are. Do not give these individuals a second look. They are irrelevant, if they don’t contribute to your happiness.

A kitten is cute – everyone loves kittens! They’re so playful and inquisitive, and literally into everything – and they can move so fast! Really, they’re like cats, but friendlier, more fun, and, well, just a whole lot cuter and easier to love.
