There is a magnificent tree outside our back porch.  It’s dressed beautifully for summer in limey green leaves, providing shade and comfort from the hot sun. I adore sitting on my back porch and enjoy the mornings with my friend, the tree. As I sip my coffee, I feel in touch with the beauty of nature and her many offerings that come with each day.

The captivating colors of amber, magenta and gold

Create a spellbinding sight as the trees dance and sway

We have not yet met, and your story has not yet been told.

What a beautiful sight to behold; the golden sunlight in your hair

My heart tells me I must reach out to take your hand

And I yearn to caress your skin so fair

I want to escape with you to a faraway land

Your breathtaking beauty in always on my mind

Please let it be known my love will never fade

My heart is all aglow as I pine

The moments will be cherished when we meet

Memories will be everlasting when I make you mine

May I place bouquets of flowers at your feet?
