Good morning beauties!

For a lot of people, 2016 was less than ideal. In just a few short days, it is clear what 2017 will bring for all of us. Start a Revolution, Stop Body Shaming! (1 min read)

So it’s been a while. I haven’t really had the chance to sit down and write everything that was coming into my mind. But I realized that there’s this one topic that is kind of taking over the internet. It recently became a topic of discussion on  one of my Whatsapp groups and I thought to myself that so many problems could’ve been solved a long time ago if we simply just talked about them. I was asked for my input by an Illustrator and Visual Artist who was writing about body shaming. I gave her my input and I also got a chance to read what other people had sent to her and that’s when I realized that most of us have faced this in life but we probably never talked about it. So many of us have constantly been told that we need to get on a diet, or maybe take some growth medication to grow taller. What got to me the most was when someone wrote how much she loved wearing heels but she had to stop wearing them because whenever she did, she was told that she’s as tall as a street light and she shouldn’t wear heels. I have seen in front of me, a girl labelled according to her size at her University’s Graduation Party and because it was in front of a huge crowd, it really put her down and she stopped eating. So if you’re reading this you’ve ever pointed someone’s weakness whether intentionally or unintentionally, please realize that anything can happen to anyone at any time and you never know, you might have to go through something similar some day. That’s why look beyond the standards of beauty set by the social media and embrace different kinds of beauty.

If you’ve ever been let down for your weakness, let me tell you that God made you and God doesn’t make mistakes. You’re a masterpiece and you deserve love, care and respect. You have a beautiful heart and that’s something that nothing can beat. Never let anyone bring you down. Once you’re confident with your own structure anything that anyone says can never hurt you because you love yourself.

We don’t realize that we consciously or unconsciously point out another person’s weakness in our effort to help the other person. The only way to help another person is to make them feel comfortable in their own skin and their own body frame because beauty comes in all colors, sizes and shapes. It’s never too late. Let’s join hands to put an end to body shaming. Start from your own home, stop nagging your own siblings, stop making fun of that one friend who’s overweight, stop taunting someone at the gym who’s thin and is working to build muscle and just simply stop criticizing someone for something they can’t control. Lets make this world a better place to live in!

1. It lets you get the feelings out without having to get anyone else involved. Let’s face it; getting emotional in front of people is always an embarrassing process, no matter how close you are to the person. And then there’s the post-cry awkwardness you have to deal with later. At least you can be 100% certain that your notebook isn’t going to judge you.

In essence, this law says that 33% of your time should be split up evenly between 3 different groups of people.

1. People Below You

The first 33% is the most simple. This is time spent with people who you would consider below you. For example, maybe you are higher up at your current company and you wish to help an intern learn some new skills. Or perhaps maybe you are an experienced stock trader and wish to help somebody learn the basics who is just starting out. The point is that as you learn and grow it is important to share the knowledge you learn and give advice to others. Helping others is key and will also aid you in your own growth and personal development.

Do you think healthy food prep only involves adding in the vegetables? Or not using so much butter, or not frying your foods?

When you study culinary chemistry even a little, you begin to understand how compounds form, and possibly harmful chemical reactions. You would also learn that the processes we use for convenience, such as freezing food, takes away somewhat from its nutritional content.
